The funkiest way to keep your Critters Cooool during this ridiculously hot weather!

I’ve just made a mini mountain of Can Cozees for all of you who freeze tins of veg to use as safe ice blocks for your small animals, and these will be available to buy from Friday.

The Can Cozees brighten up the cage or run, make the cans a lot more snuggly whilst remaining cool, but not so cold that they are likely to induce pneumonia, and of course as they are made out of Fleece they prevent any condensation escaping, so no more soggy Critters!

We all panic about our Furry Friends as the weather heats up and it can be a real nightmare finding suitable cooling options for them. One of the best ways of creating a cool spot in the cage, without worrying about them chewing through plastic ice blocks or bottles, is to freeze tins of veg. It works out much cheaper than buying ice blocks, and as they are metal they are much safer than putting gel filled plastic anything in the cage with the animals with the big teeth!

This works really well and unlike large plastic bottles the tins are a much more Chin or Pig Friendly size.

Buy lots of El Cheapo Beans (or anything else cheap so long as the tins contents are quite dense)
Remove paper labels and glue remnants from your tins
Stick as many tins as you can into your Freezer
Wait for them to freeze until solid (leave overnight)
Pop the freshly frozen tin in one of our Funky Can Cozees
As soon as a can is losing it’s cool, you can just stick it back in the Freezer and replace with a fresh one as these can be repeatedly refrozen

You can put the tin cans straight into the cage without anything on them as they are perfectly Critter proof but you might find that the your Furry Friends aren’t that interested and those that are are likely to get a bit soggy from the condensation.
