Crappy New Year!

We have had nowt but trouble since this New Year slithered over the threshold Due to fact we seem absolutely fated not to be able to have any spare time, and we have an extremely ill Piggy who needs constant monitoring, we have had to close the shop for a couple of weeks, in order to catch up and also to try and bring some order to the recent chaos!

First there was the ridiculous weather but I’m not counting the Snow as trouble, even though it was, because  everything looked so pretty that you could almost forgive it for causing all that disruption. The rain and floods that followed however have caused me no end of problems. I’m still waiting for someone to brave the weather conditions to get up on my roof and put a plug in the chimney to stop my bathroom leaking!  If you need to use the loo in this place you get a Free Shower courtesy of the hole in the roof!

Then to my absolute horror, I went in to feed the Piggies their Supper a couple of weeks back to  find Pimple Pig with a collapsed back end and mid choking fit. Since the onset of her illness she has needed constant monitoring. It’s been an incredibly long 2 ‘wheeks’ and we aren’t out the woods yet, but she has at least stabilised and is eating a little for herself, meaning I can take a 2 hour break for some much needed sleep!

If you are waiting on an order, I apologise for the delays, however due to the recent disruptions, it has been impossible to get any work done.

A Big Thank You and Our Plans for 2009

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us throughout 2008! We were crazy busy over Christmas which was fabulous news for our supported Rescues who received an extra £200 Christmas Bonus each, thanks to your generosity!

We had a much needed break over the Christmas Holidays, which was supposed to be spent organising ourselves in readiness for the New Year, but in reality most of it was spent fighting off a nasty bug and therefore we didn’t get chance to do half the jobs we needed to. But for those of you who have already visited the website you may have noticed some subtle changes to our product range for 2009 …

• First and foremost we now have a larger choice of Ready 2 Go items, to cater for customers who are desperate to get their hands on some Hammocky Goodness PDQ!
• We have implemented a basic database so that we can keep a closer eye on our stock levels, and update the Website accordingly.
• We have expanded the Custom choices in the Shop, so that there are far more products with a Luxury option available now.

The one major change in the way Hammocky Hammocks will be run this year, will be that we will have regular scheduled closures, once every 3 months, so that we can catch up with everything, and maybe even squeeze in a day off! During these breaks the main store will be closed for a period of up to 2 weeks, however the Ready 2 Go range will still be available throughout this time and there will be somebody around to respond to any enquiries too.
